The PastorHacks blog mentioned a new resource he just came across: The BBC Motion Gallery. What a find! Now you have access to the amazingly diverse BBC content. Their quote is “We’re your gateway to content from many of the world’s leading broadcasters, news organisations and filmmakers.”

We all know there’s no shortage of junk footage out there. The challenge is finding usable footage. Remember my blog on the new RevoStock? The BBC Motion Gallery is another link for you to add to your list of resources!

2 things really impress me:

  1. Their statement in the ABOUT section of their website: “Encompassing 500 million feet of film and 400,000 hours of video, the unrivalled BBC archive spans over 8 million subject categories – and it’s growing by the minute. Here you will discover creative, high-quality motion imagery and broadcast programming from BBC & CBS News on almost every conceivable subject. Remember, if you don’t find the shot that you are looking for here on the site, no worries. This is just a tiny fraction of our offering. Call or email us now and let our researchers tap into the motherlode for you.” -Dare I say, it seems as if they actually have a “heart” and desire to help you find what you’re looking for???
  2. The fact that they even have an IDEAS section. Wow!

FYI – There’s a great “Christ over Brazil” clip here.
