Big Moves

I just heard the news – 2 guys that I respect are leaving their churches (which I love and respect) to go to other churches (which I also love and respect).

The first is Tony Morgan, former pastor at Granger Community Church in Granger, Ind. and one of the Simply Strategic guys is moving on to NewSpring Church in Anderson, S.C., pastored by Perry Noble. I’ve blogged about what God has been up to at NewSpring several times.

The other is Terry Storch, who I just had lunch with and am reading the manuscript of his new book that he gave me. Terry is transitioning from Ed Young’s Fellowship Church in Dallas to Craig Groeschel‘s in Oklahoma, which I’ve also mentioned several times.

I’m excited for both Tony and Terry and for the awesome churches where they’re headed. I know that these moves did not surprise God and so I rest in the fact that He is preparing 2 others to take their place and fill their big shoes at their previous churches – which are great churches, too.

Remember me blogging about Hulk Hogan? Fellowship Church (mentioned above) has posted the video of Pastor Ed Young, Jr. talking with Hulk Hogan. Go HERE to their homepage and click on the picture of Hulk.

  1. I agree 100% with your statements. We tell many mirtnisies to think of their website not as one person but two, a greeter and a usher. The greeter should be warm and friendly paying attention to the people that haven’t been here before. Ushers typically know the ins and out of everything. From what time is the 9:30 service starting to when was the church financial meeting moved to. With this line of thought, many people have started to see the website through both outsider and insider eyes.Blessings,Domonic
